UPI Gateway Integration Guide
Share a payment link with a buyer, then check a known transaction using the public status endpoint.
1. Create and share a payment link
Copy your gateway code from the homepage. Replace CODE with that code and AMOUNT with the requested positive amount in rupees. Open the link to show the buyer the payment page and its QR.
https://fampaygateway.lovable.app/pay/CODE/AMOUNTA payment session lasts up to five minutes. The payment page provides UTR and wallet-payment verification.
2. Check a transaction
Send a GET request with a transaction ID your integration already knows. Replace the final path segment with that ID.
GET https://fampaygateway.lovable.app/api/public/status/TRANSACTION_IDThe response is JSON. A found transaction returns ok, txn_id, status, amount, utr, method, created_at, verified_at, and expires_at.
{
"ok": true,
"txn_id": "TRANSACTION_ID",
"status": "verified",
"amount": 199,
"utr": "REFERENCE_NUMBER",
"method": "upi",
"created_at": "2026-01-15T10:20:30.000Z",
"verified_at": "2026-01-15T10:21:05.000Z",
"expires_at": "2026-01-15T10:25:30.000Z"
}Status can be pending, verified, or expired. An unknown transaction returns HTTP 404 with { "ok": false, "status": "unknown" }.
Integration boundaries
- The status endpoint checks an existing transaction; it does not create a payment or start verification.
- The payment link is a buyer-facing page, not a public transaction-creation REST endpoint.
- Only treat a transaction marked
verifiedas paid; opening a UPI app is not confirmation. - A 404
unknownresponse means the supplied transaction ID was not found.
